Academic & Spiritual Biography

Born in Qasr-i Hinduvan (renamed Qasr-i 'Arifan) near Bukhara. He crystallized the Khwajagan tradition into the Naqshbandi tariqa, establishing the 11 sacred principles and the silent Dhikr of the heart (Dhikr-i Khafi), emphasizing inner contemplation combined with productive work in society.
